The Cappuccinos

by Kyle Brosnihan; Directed by Paul Schack

A play premiering at the Brick Theater September 25th-28th.

Do you like coffee? The characters in this play love coffee. Do you like connections with strangers in public places like coffee shops? Those fleeting little moments when you have this point of connection, intimacy maybe, with another person. And maybe it’s fleeting , maybe it never happens again, but in those moments, it’s real, and it’s special. Do you like absurdist comedy? Do you like telling the truth through exaggeration? Do you like poetry? Do you like the rhythms of language and life? Then The Cappuccinos is the play for you.

Rehearsals have begun for What Cheer: A New Play by Karen Campion.

Synopsis: A violent and senseless act rocks the peaceful life of a small town named “What Cheer” to its core. The aftermath is still empty, confusing and uncertain. Four mothers cannot forget the past, and moving forward is an act of betrayal… until someone new arrives in town. Will this stranger give them the courage to finally take a step forward together?

I just wrapped up work on a staged reading of a new screenplay: Greta by Jenita Richards. It was such a pleasure to read for such a receptive audience and to bring Jenita’s story to life! I look forward to witnessing the finished product!
